In early February 2023, Universitas Islam Riau witnessed a remarkable event as PT Sumber
Daya Mandiri (PT SDM), an esteemed outsourcing company, conducted a campus
recruitment drive. This initiative aimed to facilitate the placement of frontliners at Bank
Rakyat Indonesia, one of the leading banks in the country. The event garnered significant
attention, drawing participation from 272 enthusiastic students.
PT SDM provided valuable insights into its company profile throughout the recruitment
process and highlighted the collaborative partnerships with various esteemed organizations,
including Bank Rakyat Indonesia. The event served as a platform for students to understand
better potential career pathways and opportunities within the outsourcing industry.
The selection process adopted a meticulous approach, primarily through intensive
interviews conducted on campus. This method comprehensively evaluated each candidate’s
skills, competencies, and suitability for the roles offered. The emphasis on interviews
allowed for personalized interaction, enabling recruiters to assess candidates holistically
beyond their academic qualifications.
As a testament to the success of the recruitment drive, 20 talented students emerged
triumphant and secured coveted positions at the prestigious Government-owned BUMN
Bank. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of the collaboration between PT SDM
and Universitas Islam Riau in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The interview process was conducted by human resource professionals from PT SDM, led by
Eka Susilawati, S.Psi, and Head of Career Center Universitas Islam Riau, Dr. Desy Mardianty,
MM, ensuring a thorough and fair evaluation of candidates.
The Career Center at Universitas Islam Riau continually endeavours to foster strong
