Career Center Profile

A Career Center is an institution within the structure of a university that connects students and graduates seeking employment with companies. The Career Center can provide benefits to the university and related institutions by: 

a. Determining the proportion of graduates who have been absorbed into the workforce;

b. Preparing graduates with the competencies needed and expected by the industry;

c. Assisting the government in mapping the needs of the industry and developing education in Indonesia.

 

The Career Center of Universitas Islam Riau is a unit under the coordination of the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni. The UIR Career Center was established as a platform to understand the preparation of graduates, the absorption of graduates, and the positions of graduates in the workforce and the industrial world. 

The Career Center is divided into three divisions of work programs:

  1. Tracer Study Division
  2. Soft Skill Division
  3. Entrepreneurship Division

The Tracer Study Division has the following tasks and functions:

  1. Mapping the presence of graduates based on the year of graduation.
  2. Planning alumni tracking activities at the university level.
  3. Implementing alumni tracking according to the planned activities and volume.
  4. Gathering information from alumni about the development of competencies required by the workforce.
  5. Conducting evaluation and compiling alumni tracking reports.

The Soft Skill Division has the following tasks and functions:

  1. Mapping career interests among students at the Universitas Islam Riau.
  2. Planning and implementing seminar and training programs to enhance the soft skills of students/alumni.
  3. Evaluating reports on the results of soft skills seminars and training for students/alumni.
  4. Compiling reports on the results of seminars and training held for submission to the Head of the Career Center

The Entrepreneurship Division has the following tasks and functions:

  1. Mapping entrepreneurial interests among students at the Universitas Islam Riau
  2. Planning entrepreneurship development programs for students at the Universitas Islam Riau
  3. Evaluating the results of entrepreneurship development for students at the Universitas Islam Riau
  4. Compiling reports on the results of seminars and training held for submission to the Head of the Career Center

Organizational Structure
